With MLU, the 1/100th hit rate became 100%, so it was noticeable even at that fast a shutter speed but I'll probably never use it there because it's easy enough to take a few extra shots. RAW conversion with the EyeFrame Converter for use of the footage in Resolve/After Effects without complicated workflows. I can normally (without MLU) get about 80% of my LV focused, tripod mounted resolution 80% of the time at 1/100th on my crop camera, which is good enough for me to use it during the kids choir concerts, etc. We can confirm now, that ML will run on the 700D/100D (aka T5i/SL1). Hand-held vibration is a noisy statistical event, so shots like that are a numbers game, taking a lot of pictures hoping something good comes out. I had some shots that were sharp at 100% zoom (3 px per line on a sine sieman's star) at 1/25th exposure, maybe 30% of the 1/25th shots and 50% of the 1/50th shots were that good. It may give some noticeable help for me at 1/50th and 1/25th (with a 100mm lens) when set to at least 0.3 sec of delay. I heard of Magic Lantern and I decided to install it on my camera, but I have a Canon EOS 1000D, so I found this thread. ![]() I was playing with it's hand-held automated MLU (mirror lock up) feature last night, and hand-held image sharpness is notoriously hard to test, and varies hugely person to person and often you are testing your ability to get sharp focus and DOF.
